Established according to the to the Presidential decree on the “Approval of Azerbaijan Republic State Customs Committee structure and additions to the Statue of State Customs Committee”, dated June 19 2001, and to the revisions made thereby on 2004, Central Customs Hospital is an up-to-date health center to determine the health condition of customs staff newly employed, to meet their needs for health service and to improve their health welfare. 

           The equipments installed in Central Customs Hospital are made mainly in Germany and other European countries. At the Hospital, for the first time there has been applied a special ventilation system which is in use in most newly built health centers. In other words, air is inflowing to the building only after being freshened for three times. H12 HEPA Ultra Filter has been used in surgery room, lab, diagnosis center, and intensive care divisions. Another innovation is the installation of pneumatic conductor system. Due to this system, it has been made possible to ensure to post the results of analysis from lab within 10-15 seconds and to provide necessary health service to patients. Special software installed in Hospital makes it possible to establish a direct space bridge with any leading health center of the world. In addition, 5 new “Mercedes” ambulances and a mobile hospital have been purchased for the Central Hospital. With the help of this mobile hospital, it is possible to provide any medical service to patients. Above this, each and every ward has been provided with phone line. Modern equipments in all medical spheres, especially in resuscitation department are of special interest. Thus, all health medical service spheres of the Central Hospital fully meets high requirements of modern world, and there are all the necessary conditions for a full rehabilitation of customs staff.
