On January 27 the total exhibition of Say «No» To Drugs! placard and photo competition was held in the Museum Centre in Baku city. The higher officials of Cabinet of Ministers, State Customs Committee. Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Education, Azerbaijan \Painters`Union and representatives of public took part in the measure.

The Chairman of the State Customs Committee customs service Lieutenant-General Aydin Aliyev first of all making a speech in the measure said that the competition-exhibition was held in the frame of measures related with 19 years of the SCC creation on January 30 and 5 years of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The State Customs Committee/, /Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Painters`Union took closely part in the organization of the measure. The SCC Chairman emphasized that Azerbaijan may be the only country Customs Service holds corresponding measures together with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and tries to give a gift to the cultural and educational activity. Thus, in connection with the struggle aganist spreading of drug addiction and narcotc means the State Customs Committee held corresponding measure in the 2006 th year as well. The goal is to take an active part in the struggle against the human problem and render aid to strengthening of the joint activity in this direction.

A.Aliyev noted that struggle against illicit drugs trafficking is one of the main directions of the customs activity. The geographical position of Azerbaijan always involves attention of transnational and organizational criminal groups for illicit drugs trafficking through a country territory. With the object of preventing illicit drugs trafficking through a customs border of the Republic and not to let use of a country territory as a «conductive point» as a result of implemented measures by customs authorities during the previous year in connection with the illicit drugs trafficking 147 facts were detected. It was 2.26 time more in comparison with the 2009 th year.

Then the SCC Chairman A.Aliyev expressed his gratitude to those who took part in the Say «No»» To Drugs! placard and photo competition-exhibition. He informed that this kind of measures would be continued. The Vice-Prime Minister, the Chairman of the State Commission for Struggle Against Illegal Drugs Trafficking Ali Hasanov speaking about the importance of enlightenment activity in the struggle against drug addiction said that Say «No» To Drugs!  placard and photo competition-exhibition was an important event in this sphere. The Vice-Prime Minister emmphasized that not only one organization, but also a big country couldn`t get success independently in the struggle against very dangerous problem as a drug addiction. He noted that related organizations and all countries had to show joint activity in this sphere. At the same time each organization and every citizen must give their gifts. A.Hasanaliyev said that the State Customs Committee not only carries out struggle against illicit drug trafficking but also support enlightenment activity in this sphere. A.Hasanaliyev highly valued above mentioned activity of the State Customs Committee.

The Vice-Prime Minister also noted that though drug addiction isn`t a specific problem for Azerbaijan people, nobody must come down, specially media must be principle in the struggle against drug addiction and have always to keep this subject on the agenda. They must carry out enlightenment activity and have to involve all levels of society in  this struggle against this global misfortune and rendering aid for bringing up the future generation, growing them in physical, moral points healthy and patriot. They must closely took part in prevention of spreading drugs in our country.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said that the Ministry headed by him attaches a special importance to the struggle against drug addiction and cooperates closely in this direction with related organizations. The Minister emphasized that held joint measures with the State Customs Committee has its own place. He hoped that the next this kind of measure will also be completed successfully. A.Garayev said that Azerbaijan Customs Service supports the agitation of the national-moral values not only in boundaries of our country, but also in abroad. Azerbaijan customs officials try to return confiscated smuggled historical-cultural riches to their own countries. It is possible to show suffcient examples.

The Secretary of Azerbaijan Painters`Union the national painter Agali Ibrahimov told that Say «No»» To Drugs! placard and photo competition-exhibition roused great interest. Young painters, photographers, famous members of the Union took part in this measure. Agali Ibrahimov expressed his gratitude to all participants of the competition-exhibion and wished new successes to them for giving information about enlightenment activity in the struggle against and to bring opinion and feeling of creative people to society.

Then prizes were presented to winners of the Say «No»» To Drugs! placard and photo competition-exhibition. For placard division of the competition Hashim Elchiyev the 1 st, Mirazar Abdullayev the 2 nd, Ramin Mammadov the 3 rd, for photo division Aynur Aliyeva the 1 st, Sabina Narirova the 2 nd  and Sevda Zaynalova the 3 rd places were honoured.

Besides, this for both division of the competition altogether 10 participants were honoured with encouraging prize.

Then the red ribbon showing opening of the exhibition was cut. The measure participants closely familiarized with the exhibition. Demonstrated placards, photos, sculpture examples in the exhibition were met with interest by the participants.
