On January 12 the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, customs service Lieutenant General Aydin Aliyev received the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Netherlands to our country Jan Lukas Inayat van Hoorn.

The Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev spoke about the existing political, cultural relations. He express his assurance to further expansion of these relations. The Committee Chairman emphasized that in the development of the coopration, economic-trade relations between the countries the customs service has its special place and the customs system plays a bridge role in this sphere as well. In 2002 the signed agreement between the two countries in the customs sphere and the rational activity of the customs services give an additional stimulus to the expansion of the cooperation and speed up the mutual integration of the parties.

Aydin Aliyev said that under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev implemented economic reforms last years gave positive results. The Committee Chairman Aydin Aliyev emphasized that there is a great potential for expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Netherlands in the different directions. He stressed the importance of maximum benefit from this opportunity.

The SCC Chairman spoke about the perspectives in this sphere. He moved forward of the mutual activity, exchange of experience for deepening of the cooperation.

The Committee Chairman glancing at the passed development way of the Customs Service of the Independent Azerbaijan spoke about the role of the customs authorities either in the formation of the budget incomes or in the provision of the economic security. Then he also gave information about the implemented measures in the application of the information technologies and strengthening of the legislation basis direction.

The Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Netherlands to our country Jan Lukas Inayat van Hoorn emphasized that he was satisfied with his diplomatic activity in our republic. He said that he attached a great importance to the cooperation in all spheres of his government with Azerbaijan. The guest noted that at present in the international financial crisis condition countries are interested in the protection of the bilateral polysided relations. At the same time the Kingdom of Netherlands intends for continuing and expanding the existing economic-trade relations with Azerbaijan/. The ambassador speaking about further cooperation of Azerbaijan customs authorities with the Kingdom of Netherlands said that there wasn`t any problem for the expansion of relations between corresponding organizations of both countries. He spoke about future perspectives of the mutual relations.

In the meeting at the same time exchange of opinion around some problems of mutual interest were carried out.
