Study visit to the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia
Delegation of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by Mr. Gambay Aliyev-Director of “Azerterminalcomplex”-Self-Financing Economic Community visted Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. During the study visit in the period of June 11-17.2010 customs colleagues visited Customs Administration Headquarters and different Customs offices.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Vatican are enhancing
On June 17 the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, customs service Lieutenant-General Aydin Aliyev received the delegation headed by president of the Pontifical Council for Culture of Vatican, Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi.
Struggle matters against illicit drugs trafficking were discussed
On June 8-9 working meeting on connection of efforts for prevention of drugs smuggling with Afghan origin was held in Almati city Kazakhstan. The delegation headed by the Chief of the Struggle Head Office Against Legal Violations in the Customs Sphere of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, customs service Major-General Guloglan Muradli took part in the measure.
Smuggling cases are prevented resolutely
The passenger of Baku-Moscow flight, the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Arif Malikov was stopped in the waiting room of the International Air Port named after Heydar Aliyev and corresponding to the customs legislation the personal check-up on him was implemented by employees of Head Customs Office in the Air Transport. One number object made from yellow metal reflected the words on the front side the profile of the Russian emperor Alexander II and in the round form but on the back side was detected from the passenger A.Malikov who wanted to transport it through the customs border undeclaring. For the detection of the value and historical importance the same object was introduced to Azerbaijan State Art Museum. According to an expert opinion assuming historical importance of it was approved.

On May 25 the conference on «Competitiveness durability and trade assistance of TRACECA routes» was held in Antalya city in Turkey in a high level. The devegation of Azerbaijan and the representatives of the customs services of Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Bulgaria and Kyrghyzstan took part in jointly held meeting by the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission of the European Commission. >>>
